A More Intentional Aromatherapy Experience
Something new is coming into the treatment room, and Iβm really excited to share it with you. Iβll be adding Madison + Green products to my spa shelves, which means the way I use aromatherapy has officially been upgraded.
In the past, I collected a variety of essential oils and mixed them myself with a carrier oil. Over time, my backbar shelves became flooded with options. While it gave me flexibility, it also started to feel a little chaotic. And honestly, sometimes having too many choices isnβt always the best experience.
So I decided to partner with Madison + Green and leave it to the experts, a mother and daughter duo who are certified clinical aromatherapists.
Each blend is thoughtfully created to support specific emotional needs. When you add aromatherapy to your service, Iβll ask how youβre currently feeling, or how you want to feel during your treatment, so we can choose a scent that aligns with you in that moment.
Iβll be offering three signature blends:
Relaxing:
Lavender, lemongrass, eucalyptus, camphor, menthol
Soothing:
Peppermint, sweet basil, eucalyptus, camphor, menthol
Uplifting (my favorite):
Grapefruit, black pepper, eucalyptus, hinoki, camphor, menthol
When you add aromatherapy to your service, weβll begin with three deep, intentional breaths using inhalers, and Iβll incorporate the chosen oil throughout your massage.
Inhalers will also be available for purchase, and there are so many ways to use them in your everyday life. Keep one by your bedside to unwind at night, bring it into the shower for a spa like moment, take it into the sauna, or carry it with you for when you need a reset during the day.
I personally love using mine as a way to pause, especially when Iβm feeling anxious or just need a minute to myself.
Iβm so excited for you to experience these scents and explore what works best for you in the spa. And if you tend to gravitate toward sweeter scents, Iβll also have a selection of FarmHouse Fresh oils available. Iβll be rotating in seasonal scents throughout the year, but Clementine will always be a staple at Sun House Spa.
